Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has urged Andre Villas-Boas to sell Didier Drogba in order to bring the best out of £50million goal-shy striker Fernando Torres.

The Spaniard was signed by Italian Ancelotti last January from Liverpool for a British transfer record but has struggled at Stamford Bridge scoring just five goals in 41 appearances
Ancelotti – now in charge at mega-rich French ginats Paris Saint Germain – believes the best solution to trigger Torres’ once fine form is to get rid of veteran Drogba.
Drogba, 34, is out of contract at the end of the season. However his departure before the end of the season is highly unlikely since the forward is currently away on international duty with Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.
But Ancelotti insists Chelsea should pave the way for Drogba’s exit soon in order to help Torres shine through.
